Song: Hometown Blues – The Rifles

School. I’m not very motivated at the moment, so that’s as good of an introduction sentence as we can pump out. It is – in essence – bollocks, but we all need qualifications so we all need school. This year – year 11 – I’m starting my Preliminary course (its like a build up for the HSC), so I’m doing English, Maths, Geography, Modern History, Software Design and Art. I’ve got the same teachers for History (yay!) and Art (boo!), and we have a whole new teacher for Geography (she’s British and very very London), not to mention the 30+ new students we have in our grade. I’m not friends with any of the new kids (not now, at least), if you don’t count Kara (she went to our school for two years, left for two and is now back). We’ve only had two days this week so its not too bad, I guess. I don’t know. My sleep pattern is all over the place, and I still haven’t lost any weight (been working out on the exercise bike almost every day this year). AND we have school photos next week.

Speaking of which, Dad’s come up with this idea that dying my hair is making me stupid. He reckons that the dye is seeping through my skull and into my brain. So I haven’t been allowed to dye my hair since September, and the regrowth was about 3 inches. Seeing as I looked stupid (3″ brown + the rest red?) he’s “let” me dye my hair brown (as opposed to stripping and breaking half my hair off). I look horrible most of the time. Sure, other people may say its nice, but I still want to put my head in a blender. I don’t even wear my fringe half the time it annoys me so much. Its not really different, but he’s cut like, 3″ off and its too bloody layered and annoying.

Enough ranting. Lets gush! The new Skins (sorry Jess)! Spoilers, so if you haven’t seen it & want to, don’t read this paragraph. The first episode was rather good, I’ll admit. I mean, I don’t really like Thomas that much (he’s friendly and cute and that, but dull) so it wasn’t an episode which was particularly relevant to my interests (Cook, Naomily), but it was a good set up for the season. Emo!Freddie was odd. Cook’s friendship with Naomi made me happy, because I love those two. And Emily, of course. I’m actually also rather interested in the Katie story line, so hopefully more Katie goodness will come soon!

What else this week? I got an iPod. Weird, I know. I’m not sure why I have one, actually, but Dad’s got my Mum & I iPods. I think its because our current MP3 players (Zens) are getting old and are a hassle (different ports, can’t play through stereo’s, etc). I’ve had mine for a week and I still can’t use it. I’m hopeless at this, lmao.

People from my primary school (grades K – 6) want to organise a “reunion”. One girl, Daniella, added me on Facebook, and invited me to this thing, so heaps of others have been adding me too. Not that I’ve talked to them. Its a little odd, because we’re only 16 and don’t really need to “reunite”. I think I do want to go, though, just to see what everyone’s like. I just hope I can shift some weight before then (I’m not fat or anything, just need to loose a few KG’s to be my “ideal weight” or something).

    Long blog is long.

SKINS! I watched it! A lot of people I’ve read so far has thought the first episode was utterly crap. I didn’t think it was particularly horrible, it was just a really slow start… I found Thomas’ sister a bit annoying at the start with the tickling, like whatever, STFU. Admittedly, I laughed when she referenced Starwars, haha.

    Freddie can just die.

And yes! Cook and Naomi! I loved seeing them at the bar. They’re my fav too :D And I’m looking forward to Katie’s story as well. Effy was weird, but I suppose she has always been, haha.

Ooo iPod… I don’t have one but my sister’s been looking for one to buy.

    Anyway, good luck with school!

And sorry for the long comment, lol. I felt “Skins” was an important matter to discuss.

Oh god, I’m so amazed by this theme Cassie. Absolutely fantastic. Great great job. Oh! My professor Daniel is from London, he’s a screenwriter for independent films. He’s in NYC, with the rest of his students.

Ah man, my parents (mainly my mom though) used to hate when I died my hair too. I’m not sure why. I just highlighted it or did natural colors. but they never said i “wasn’t allowed.” they just shook their heads in dissapproval. haha

I AM SO SORRY I HAVEN’T COMMENTED ON THIS YET! I always lose track of your blogs. I hate myself.

I really like your hair and I think you also look hot with your fringe pinned back. But to be honest, I’m biased because I love you, no matter what.

You can join my iPod club. Providing you tell me what your iPod is named.

You can lose some weight with me if you like. It takes me at least half an hour to walk to uni or town & I have to walk everywhere since I have no car, so it’s awesome. I’m getting thinner!

    Love, Jess
