Song: Always Attract – You Me at Six

What’s this? Blogging early? Yup. To throw you off. Confuse the world. I’m incredibly ninja.

By now you’ve probably heard of the Sydney Dust Storms from yesterday. And you’ll hear about it from me too, seeing as I lived through it. The only way to describe it is like looking through orange tinted glass. *points to photo* Like that. It was a bloody nuisance, I’ll say that, because its muddled with my allergies and I had to leave school early today because I couldn’t manage. But it was amusing when I walked to school and had Maddie run up to me screaming “Its the end of the world!” (I then concluded I wouldn’t really mind if it were the end, but it wasn’t, which I don’t mind either).

What else is exciting? On Saturday I went to the shops to buy stuff… got another Harry Potter poster (which is behind my door for the mean time, but its ok because it faces me when I sleep. Harry is always there with his tiny wand arm to protect me), another copy of Computer Arts (which is rapidly becoming my favourite magazine) and some other bits and bobs. We also got a bike lock-y thing and a helmet for me so I can now ride like a proper dork. A safe dork, mind.

What else? I finished reading The War Of the Worlds on… last Wednesday, and then I started and finished reading Let The Right One In on… I either started on Saturday or Sunday and I finished reading on Tuesday, and I then watched the film. I have… I don’t know what to think of the film, because they missed out on SO MUCH (like, 2 sub-plots (off the top of my head)), but they still managed to make it work. I don’t know. The boy, Oskar, I was laughing at his dopey hair cut for a while, until I realised I had the same one, pmsl. But yeah, the book/film were both pretty good, and I suggest you read them. Well, if you’re older, I guess. My 12-year-old brother wants to read it, but I won’t let him, not with some of the stuff that happens in there. So yeah, 12-year-olds, don’t read! pmsl

Holidays in a week and a bit. Well, in about… 8 or so days. I’d be more excited if my trial exams weren’t on the last two days of term. But still, two weeks off. This term has gone so quickly, its proper mental.
Oh yeah, been meaning to ask; if I were to write tutorials, what kinds of tutorials would you like me to share?

Song: Calm Down Dearest – Jamie T

Christ I love Jamie T. He’s in Sydney RIGHT NOW but naturally tickets sold out. Hate life sometimes, pmsl.

See that? Thats my new bike. I got him on… Tuesday, it was. I haven’t ridden a bike (aside from this week) in about 5 or so years, so it was a trip learning again. Well, I didn’t have to learn again, but just getting the hang of it. Especially since I never learnt to use gears before, so thats something new. I haven’t ridden a lot, mainly down the dead end at the end of my street, and yesterday I rode around the block, which was kind of different because I live in a rather hill-y area. But it was good practice. I’m going to ride a lot (hopefully) over the weekend. It’ll be cool.

(This bit is edited in. Jess‘ comment reminded me) AHAhahahaha yeah, well, on the first day of getting my bike I was testing it in the dead end. I ran into a parked car. The car alarm ran off. I bolted, pmsl. The car wasn’t damaged, but I was. Two epic bruises on my legs. Well one epic, one not-so-epic, but still. Battle scars.

Trust me to drive into a freaking car, pmsl.

I’m so excited that its Friday. Which is a first (I hate weekends, I do nothing. Not many of my “friends” like to “hang” out with me. Whatever). Mainly because this week of death is over. Did four assessment tasks. PE, History, Science and English. I have two due Monday but I’ve done them already, I just need to print stuff. And then I’ll be free of assessments until my trials in 2 weeks. And then holidays! Yay!

I don’t remember a lot of this week, actually. On Sunday I went to my cousin’s First Holy Communion celebration. We didn’t have to go to the Church which was great (I’m atheist). I had to spend like, 2 hours in a back-yard with a mental dog and a whole family who I didn’t know. They’re not even my family, they’re in-laws. The kids who were there ignored my brother and I. We sat on the couch, playing with his iTouch for 2 hours. I could think of better ways to spend my time, but s’best make of a bad situation.

Then… Monday. Oh Monday was hilarious. On Sunday for the Communion thing I wore my hair up, as in all pushed back and sort of puffed up at the top. Dad liked it enough he decided to pay me $20 to wear it to school (I never ever wear my hair up. Ever). I did it. I got $20. Awesome way to make money.

Tuesday… bike. Wednesday… nothing, nor with Thursday or today. So pretty boring. Relatively. I think I really hate this blog. A lot. So I’ll end it here. Yipee?

Song: Alive or Dead – The Draft

I have been working on potential layouts all night. I couldn’t stand the yellow. Made this instead.

I saw D9 (District 9) over the weekend. It was awesome. It got kinda gross at points (I won’t spoil it in case people wanted to see it, lol) and the fingernails thing creeped the fuck out of me, but it was still awesome. At points it reminded me of Iron Man (I kindofmaybeyelled that out at one point, pmsl), which was AWESOME because I adore Iron Man so much. I went with Christine, and I have such an awesome time with her. Afterwards we went out for a bit, I went to Dangerfield and got a Iron Man wallet (its WIN) and I was going to buy books but got lazy, plus Christine needed to get home. So I didn’t. Which sucked. But still had an awesome time.

What else? I’ve been having technology problems. My tablet which I use for my laptop (I can’t use it on my desktop because if I do, half my games don’t work. Its bullshit) kind of destroyed my laptop, the CPU seemed to be having problems deciphering codes from the serial buses, which sucked, but Dad managed to fix it. Still weary of Spike (laptop), though. And then today my MP3 player of about… 2 and a half years decided to screw up, so I listened to music on Cecil (mobile) which was great, so Kathlyn (mp3) got jealous and decided to work again. Or at least that’s my story, pmsl.

I am so exhausted at the moment. The other day it was an evening session of the cricket (One Day Internationals!) which meant that it aired here from 11pm-7am. Shivani, Christine & I made a pact to wake up at 4:30am and watch. Which we all did. But now I’m past tired, I was pretty low on sleep as it was. It now means time is moving in a strange way. Its moving rather fast. Big leaps. Its odd.

And before you tell me I’m an idiot for waking up to watch it (pretty much everyone at school has been telling me this), we won, so its worth it.

I actually can’t remember if I had anything else blog-worthy, lmao. Its the sleep thing. Oh well. I’ll make up a story instead. Or I won’t. I was about to start typing it until I realised I’d probably sound mental. Whatever.

Seeing as I’m a boring sod I’ll go of and read Empire. I had spare money on Sunday (D9 day) and I was going to buy it, but instead bought Computer Arts (it came with a free CD!) and didn’t have enough for Empire. Then Mum comes Empire with one for me. She knows I fancy Robert Downey Jnr (he’s on the cover). I love her.
