Song: Hometown Blues – The Rifles

School. I’m not very motivated at the moment, so that’s as good of an introduction sentence as we can pump out. It is – in essence – bollocks, but we all need qualifications so we all need school. This year – year 11 – I’m starting my Preliminary course (its like a build up for the HSC), so I’m doing English, Maths, Geography, Modern History, Software Design and Art. I’ve got the same teachers for History (yay!) and Art (boo!), and we have a whole new teacher for Geography (she’s British and very very London), not to mention the 30+ new students we have in our grade. I’m not friends with any of the new kids (not now, at least), if you don’t count Kara (she went to our school for two years, left for two and is now back). We’ve only had two days this week so its not too bad, I guess. I don’t know. My sleep pattern is all over the place, and I still haven’t lost any weight (been working out on the exercise bike almost every day this year). AND we have school photos next week.

Speaking of which, Dad’s come up with this idea that dying my hair is making me stupid. He reckons that the dye is seeping through my skull and into my brain. So I haven’t been allowed to dye my hair since September, and the regrowth was about 3 inches. Seeing as I looked stupid (3″ brown + the rest red?) he’s “let” me dye my hair brown (as opposed to stripping and breaking half my hair off). I look horrible most of the time. Sure, other people may say its nice, but I still want to put my head in a blender. I don’t even wear my fringe half the time it annoys me so much. Its not really different, but he’s cut like, 3″ off and its too bloody layered and annoying.

Enough ranting. Lets gush! The new Skins (sorry Jess)! Spoilers, so if you haven’t seen it & want to, don’t read this paragraph. The first episode was rather good, I’ll admit. I mean, I don’t really like Thomas that much (he’s friendly and cute and that, but dull) so it wasn’t an episode which was particularly relevant to my interests (Cook, Naomily), but it was a good set up for the season. Emo!Freddie was odd. Cook’s friendship with Naomi made me happy, because I love those two. And Emily, of course. I’m actually also rather interested in the Katie story line, so hopefully more Katie goodness will come soon!

What else this week? I got an iPod. Weird, I know. I’m not sure why I have one, actually, but Dad’s got my Mum & I iPods. I think its because our current MP3 players (Zens) are getting old and are a hassle (different ports, can’t play through stereo’s, etc). I’ve had mine for a week and I still can’t use it. I’m hopeless at this, lmao.

People from my primary school (grades K – 6) want to organise a “reunion”. One girl, Daniella, added me on Facebook, and invited me to this thing, so heaps of others have been adding me too. Not that I’ve talked to them. Its a little odd, because we’re only 16 and don’t really need to “reunite”. I think I do want to go, though, just to see what everyone’s like. I just hope I can shift some weight before then (I’m not fat or anything, just need to loose a few KG’s to be my “ideal weight” or something).

    Long blog is long.

Song: Kiss Of Life – Friendly Fires

This is the last full week of my holidays. School starts up next week on Thursday (yeah, I don’t get why week 1 is only two days), so I’m trying to get everything I wanted done over the holidays. I’m so over all this moping about not seeing anyone, I’m just going to grin and bare it whenever people gush about their amazing holidays. Its all I can do, all I ever do.

So what have I been up to? Film. Lots and lots of films. We rented out ‘Up’ which was cute, I’ll admit. Admittedly I only watched it because of real life Russell, but it was still cool. We also got ‘the Soloist’ which I enjoyed – because I enjoy all of RDJ’s films – but it wasn’t a favourite. It was quite depressing, all the homelessness and that. We also rented out ‘Inglorious Basterds’, but I only saw the end of it because Jeremy kidnapped the DVD. He does that.

What else? I’m so bad at remembering, I’ve got twitter open to remind myself. It doesn’t help much, to be honest. … apparently on Monday I didn’t wear trousers at all. Cool. My first issue of my Computer Arts subscription came, which is exciting. Its always good, because now I can estimate when I’ll get the next one, and stuff.

This is most likely going to be another blog about nothing.

Also been getting a lot of new music. I’m currently listening to Friendly Fires which are nice and cool and electro, I also downloaded The View, The Maccabees (who are pretty darn awesome) and The Courteeners. And more back-albums. I managed to delete about 492 songs from iTunes, its crazy how much junk I had. Some of the stuff hadn’t been listened to since 2006.

I’m so beat with what to post. I made a new layout, incase you couldn’t tell. I’m not sure how much I like it, but out of the 5 I’d shown Jess, this was the one she said to use. Meh, maybe it will grow on me.

Last night I had a dream that I was looking after Sid from Skins (don’t know why) and Tony came around and beat me up for not doing it right. So he goes away, and I go to the bathroom, and Tony’s sleeping in my bath and some random person is on the toilet, with a knife in their head. So I take Sid to the zoo, and we watch the monkeys catch a murderer (the one who killed the random on the toilet). So then I go to the police station and check out all the other murders, and then make a movie poster about it. I don’t understand either.

Time to end the blog! Bye!

Song: Mr. Chainsaw – Alkaline Trio

This past week has been simultaneously eventful and boring. The weekend was spent essentially watching Skins, but Dad also decided to upgrade my hard drive and DVD drive so had some nice quality time with the father. Which never happens (I’m not sporty, see). So now I have heaps of space which is great because I was down to like, 3GB and you always need 3GB on your hard drive so that temp files can run (like unsaved things, etc).

Then on Monday, I woke up stupidly early due to me needing to pee, so I get up, go to the back bathroom, do my business, then next thing I know I’m being pulled up from the floor. Apparently, I’d fainted. According to Mum, it was due to a mix of low blood pressure, humidity, lack of iron and so on. It was kind of scary, not the fact that I’d fainted, the fact that I didn’t know what had happened. No remembering is probably the scariest thing in the world. But I’m ok now. The lump on my head from hitting either the bath or the magazine stack (yeah, we have one in our bathroom, lmao. Probably the best part of the house) has gone, as is the bruising. And all the mosquito bites I’ve accumulated over the week are dying down which is great. We all know how prone to those bitchy bites I am. So I’m all nice and dandy now. Lovely.

Its finally gotten to that stage of holidays when I’ve been doing so little, I’m struggling to find things to blog about. I mean, it is probably a lot of my fault – I probably should ask people to hang out or whatever, but I get really discouraged when I see them all out together without me. Its like, well they’d either invite me out if they wanted to see me, or if I asked people to hang out, they’d already be busy. So I don’t ask people to hang out & get more lonely & it does suck, to be honest. But this blog will not be about that and I’ll start a new paragraph now.

I finally finished Through the Looking Glass a few nights ago. To be honest, I liked Alice in Wonderland more. Then again, I’ve been sitting on Looking Glass for about a month, never really trying to finish, and half-dreading reading it when I did have time (I’ve got about 3 graphic novels + 3/4 fiction books to read which I’m a bit more interested in). But I’m glad I’ve read it because when the new Tim Burton film is out, I’ll understand it more. The next thing I’ll read will probably be finish whichever graphic novel I’ve started (there are probably a few, lmao) then get onto ‘Wolverine: Not Dead Yet‘. TOPS!

I’ve got nothing left to blog about, so I’ll leave you with the new Skins 4 trailer. Skins 4 starts on the 28th, which is the day I go back to school, so its good timing. No doubt school will bring stress and anxiety from seeing everyone again, so this to relax with is good.
