Song: We’ll Live and Die In These Towns – The Enemy
So I finally get a chance to blog. I’m out of date, I know. Oh well, lmao. Been heaps busy, so at least I have stuff to talk about.
Firstly, last weekend. Went out with Melanie and Christine on Sunday to see Alice in Wonderland. I really enjoyed it, honestly. I’ll admit, Burton did leave out a lot of the original Alice storyline, but honestly its so large its hard to make a film of. I liked what he had done with his interpretation, and the performances by everyone was great. I particularly loved The Red Queen. And Mia was so gorgeous. She’s amazing.
After we saw the film, we hung out and went shopping a bit. Bought some awesome fair trade jewellery (a gear chain bracelet and a goat-leather cuff), and a really cool beanie thing from the hippy store. Weird purchases are the fun ones.
I don’t actually remember a lot of my week, now that I think about it. Saw Dillan a few times. Nothing new there, lmao. Had a Software test, got 100% which is nice. We’ve also started Twilight in English, which I’ve given up on caring about.
Friday night we had Chrystal’s (hi Chrystal! I know you read this, still!) birthday party thing. Was pretty fun, very relaxed and chill. I spent most of my time with Lilli, Melanie, Christine, Belle and Semira, joking about stuff and just relaxing. I think the nice part about it was that it wasn’t a big alcohol/drugs/sex kind of party like a lot of kids have now. Its not that I’m against those kind of parties, its just something you don’t expect, because really, once you have them, its hard to go back. Whatever. It was nice, ok? Ok.
After that, Saturday, I did some work in the morning (because Dad has the amazing ability to make me do work for his business whenever I’m most busy) and then saw Dillan (again, I know, lmao) to buy Christine a birthday gift. We found these amazing stores in the city, there’s this one book store that specialise only in sci-fi. They had like, these Alien and LOTR statuettes and everything. It was cool.
And then, if I couldn’t go out even more, on Sunday it was Christine’s party. She had like, a sci-fi/futuresque/post-modern/Lady Gaga BBQ-like event (she doesn’t even like Lady Gaga), which was great fun. I dressed up as Adam Ant, because he’s cool. I really enjoyed myself at that party, heaps of fun moments and conversations and things. It did suck, though, because some people decided to sort of sit away from the main area and didn’t spend a lot of time with Christine (which I mean, you’d expect, seeing as it was her birthday and everything). I think Chris got a bit down about it sometimes, but we had fun with her, so its cool.
This blog is going to turn out very long if I don’t wrap things up. But yeah, today was a really good day, did my maths test and I knew what I was doing which is always good in maths. We have parent/student interviews in about an hour, which won’t be fun. But holidays start in 3 days and then 2 weeks of nothing! I am excited! Mainly because every holiday I always just wish people would want to be with me and that I’ll be social, but it never happens, but now because of Dillan, it just might. Exciting stuff. I’m finally being a teenager.

Outside of school, though, things have been brilliant. On Saturday I went out on my date with Dillan. We went and saw the Hurt Locker, which is actually THAT GOOD of a film and totally deserves those Oscars. I mean, sure, it was essentially plotless, but I really liked it. The suspense and explosions and the characters (Thompson made me laugh a lot, even if he wasn’t in it much. And Specialist reminded me of McGee from NCIS, who is amazing so that was cool. And surprise!Ralph Fiennes was great. Any Ralph Fiennes is great) and all that made for a pretty cool film.
