Song: We’ll Live and Die In These Towns – The Enemy

So I finally get a chance to blog. I’m out of date, I know. Oh well, lmao. Been heaps busy, so at least I have stuff to talk about.

Firstly, last weekend. Went out with Melanie and Christine on Sunday to see Alice in Wonderland. I really enjoyed it, honestly. I’ll admit, Burton did leave out a lot of the original Alice storyline, but honestly its so large its hard to make a film of. I liked what he had done with his interpretation, and the performances by everyone was great. I particularly loved The Red Queen. And Mia was so gorgeous. She’s amazing.

After we saw the film, we hung out and went shopping a bit. Bought some awesome fair trade jewellery (a gear chain bracelet and a goat-leather cuff), and a really cool beanie thing from the hippy store. Weird purchases are the fun ones.

I don’t actually remember a lot of my week, now that I think about it. Saw Dillan a few times. Nothing new there, lmao. Had a Software test, got 100% which is nice. We’ve also started Twilight in English, which I’ve given up on caring about.

Friday night we had Chrystal’s (hi Chrystal! I know you read this, still!) birthday party thing. Was pretty fun, very relaxed and chill. I spent most of my time with Lilli, Melanie, Christine, Belle and Semira, joking about stuff and just relaxing. I think the nice part about it was that it wasn’t a big alcohol/drugs/sex kind of party like a lot of kids have now. Its not that I’m against those kind of parties, its just something you don’t expect, because really, once you have them, its hard to go back. Whatever. It was nice, ok? Ok.

After that, Saturday, I did some work in the morning (because Dad has the amazing ability to make me do work for his business whenever I’m most busy) and then saw Dillan (again, I know, lmao) to buy Christine a birthday gift. We found these amazing stores in the city, there’s this one book store that specialise only in sci-fi. They had like, these Alien and LOTR statuettes and everything. It was cool.

And then, if I couldn’t go out even more, on Sunday it was Christine’s party. She had like, a sci-fi/futuresque/post-modern/Lady Gaga BBQ-like event (she doesn’t even like Lady Gaga), which was great fun. I dressed up as Adam Ant, because he’s cool. I really enjoyed myself at that party, heaps of fun moments and conversations and things. It did suck, though, because some people decided to sort of sit away from the main area and didn’t spend a lot of time with Christine (which I mean, you’d expect, seeing as it was her birthday and everything). I think Chris got a bit down about it sometimes, but we had fun with her, so its cool.

This blog is going to turn out very long if I don’t wrap things up. But yeah, today was a really good day, did my maths test and I knew what I was doing which is always good in maths. We have parent/student interviews in about an hour, which won’t be fun. But holidays start in 3 days and then 2 weeks of nothing! I am excited! Mainly because every holiday I always just wish people would want to be with me and that I’ll be social, but it never happens, but now because of Dillan, it just might. Exciting stuff. I’m finally being a teenager.

    Song: Knowledge – Operation Ivy

I have a lot of bruises on my legs. I blame my school bag for hitting them so often.

The past week seems so long ago now. Saturday I saw Dillan; we went into the city and faffed about (buying magazines & drinking coffe & eating random things & picnics in the rain & that), which was fun. I don’t even remember Sunday. Must’ve been boring, then, lmao. Saw Dillan again on Tuesday & Thursday, which was lovely, even if my father has decided to start taking a hand in my relationship with him. Dad’s decided that he should control how often I see him & such. I don’t know. He also always seems annoyed with me whenever I mention Dillan. Um, ok? I don’t even know.

Today we had International Day/Harmony Day at school. Basically, its a day off school where we have concerts (mainly involving international dances) & varieties of food stalls (eg; Indian stall selling Indian food, etc) & such. No classes. Free dress. Fun things. Mainly. It was mainly a really slow & hot day, but it sure as hell beats having class. Loads of funny stuff happened, too. For example, Christine happened to be working on the “Gypsy Fortune Telling” stall, which, as you can imagine, was hilarious, considering that no one working there knew anything about what they were doing and just making up crap along the way. Still, I got a free cup of tea & all was well.

I know I also talk about Skins every week for the past 8 weeks, but last night was the finale of Season 4. Spoilers ahead – haven’t seen 7 or 8, don’t read. I am generally unhappy with the loose-ends that Ep 8 had. I’m glad Naomi/Emily are solved, their story line was my favourite in S3, and for them to be happy makes me happy. Thomas & Pandora kind of had a proper ending, it wasn’t specific, but they showed where they were going and thats good enough. The fact that they ignored Katie, Effy & JJ’s endings completely just annoyed me. What’s happening with them?! And then Cook… I mean, I love me my Cookie, but everything that I didn’t want to happen for him, did. The bit at the end was just… it was Cook, but I didn’t want it.

Still, the Kylie dancing probably made up for EVERYTHING. Almost. But oh well. Skins is now over & Friday afternoon’s'll be boring. Meh, what can you do?!

I need to catch up on website things so bad. I blame the fact that school is evil & that Dillan is distracting. I need to re-layout TFO & do some maintenance there, as with R-Grint… no one seems to want to help there which is lame. Still, I managed to finish my Friendly Fires fanlisting. They are SO GOOD, like wow. I’m going to stop typing this blog & just post a song of theirs, its amazing.

Song: Skeletons – Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Sometimes I feel like a failure at life because I can’t whistle.

Stuff has happened this week. Like, for instance, I did my geography presentation about population statistics in Latvia, which I got full marks for. That was great. I also handed in my art theory assignment, AND had an art theory test today. Not sure on how I went, but I know that art theory is out of the way now. That’s good. Today was also the day our school did the whole Worlds Greatest Shave thing. Basically its when people shave their head to raise money for cancer research. Christine shaved her head and got herself a PRETTY COOL moehawk. It really suits her, and she loves it, which is great.

Outside of school, though, things have been brilliant. On Saturday I went out on my date with Dillan. We went and saw the Hurt Locker, which is actually THAT GOOD of a film and totally deserves those Oscars. I mean, sure, it was essentially plotless, but I really liked it. The suspense and explosions and the characters (Thompson made me laugh a lot, even if he wasn’t in it much. And Specialist reminded me of McGee from NCIS, who is amazing so that was cool. And surprise!Ralph Fiennes was great. Any Ralph Fiennes is great) and all that made for a pretty cool film.

But moving away from the film, though, Saturday was actually a really nice date and Dillan is an absolute sweetheart, so I really enjoyed myself. I saw him again on Monday after school, and on Wednesday. We’re going out again tomorrow. I actually really like this guy, so. So yeah. Yeah. I have a boyfriend now. Its so strange. I mean, none of it feels like its me. I’ve never ever ever imagined I’d get a boyfriend (let alone this year!), so it’s just all so strange. I don’t know. I’m considerably happy about this, so.

What else? Skins was intense. I won’t spoil it – BECAUSE THERE IS SUCH A BIG SPOILER OMG – but yeah, wow. Cook is a legend, again, saving the day as usual.

Life is actually getting busy now, and its like all of a sudden everyone needs/wants me to be around. Dads’s more keen than ever to make me work for him, people at school all of a sudden think I’m cool (~boy approved, or whatever bullshit), Christine wants to go to places (with other friends too), I’ve got Dillan (who I genuinely want to see, though, so)… plus school. Which is getting more demanding, but manageable. Nothing out of my depth. I don’t know. Shit just gets busy.

AND I’ve got 3 2 fanlistings to build. I’ve done two, and got 2 more after that. Bloody hell, right?
