    Song: Consolation Prizes – Phoenix

I am so not in the mood for owning fansites any more. Lord.

So school’s back. This isn’t fun. Course work has been ok, haven’t really done a lot, but people just annoy me a lot. I mean, they literally will come to where we sit, drop their bags and folders and stuff, and then leave to sit like, 3 metres away. I mean, what is the POINT?! Christine, Melanie and I are not in this group to mind your bags. Christ.

Today was cool, though. We had a Geography field study, so we went to Olympic Park and the wetlands there. We did a lot of work on the mangroves, did some soil tests and creek water testing and cool stuff like that. I’m not actually that big of a fan of physical geography (more of a human geography kind of person, y’know, stuff like population and urbanisation and things) so the day was a little too sciency but still really fun. I like how our class just really get along and we all just have fun together. I don’t know. Good harmony in a class actually really does help.

Nothing else exciting has been going on. Had a boring weekend involving a lot of work (about 4-5 hours on both Saturday and Sunday), which I didn’t like at all. Dad freaked out when I went $15 over my phone bill, but then calmed down after I worked for him for ages. Saw Dillan Monday afternoon (he had school, hahahaha) and Wednesday. That was cool. Um, yeah. Haven’t gotten ANYWHERE with my English story. I currently have two starts, one from third person basically explaining this guys existence so far, and another is a first person monologue, essentially. The second one is a bit more engaging, and establishes my theme a bit more, but I never like writing in first person so I am stuck. Even though it does sound like I’m more attached to the second idea. But I don’t even have a plot. I have a basic idea (its about Chernobyl and (because its got to be Gothic) will somehow involve houses being living creatures) but its so hard to do in 1200 words. Because I’m not a big ‘and then, and then, and then’ writer (or thinker), I’m more of a ‘lets ramble on about insignificant details which I think makes things oddly beautiful’ writer. I don’t know.

I totally had the wierdest moment ever today. I saw this on a magazine cover. I mean, yes it was done FOR Crysis 2 and yes it was a gaming magazine, but its always so odd seeing art from DA in real life. Its kind of a cold reminder that what you do, what you’re good at, can get you places. DA & other media uploading sites can get you places. Its weird to think about it.

I really feel like going magazine hunting and coffee drinking and scarf shopping.

This blog is going nowhere. I’ll just shut up and leave the Wild Target trailer here. SO excited.

    Song: The Highway – Rancid

I have nearly fallen asleep, while walking home, about 4 times today. What the hell, Cassie, thats silly.

So how has my week been? Pretty good. On Saturday I dragged Dillan to see Kick Ass with me, which I adored. Hit Girl is my freaking hero and I would do ANYTHING to be as awesome as she is. It was so unrealistically realistic and I loved every second of the film. Except for, perhaps, the beginning, which was awkward (if you’ve seen the film, you’d know what I mean). I even bought the comic after, too. The comic is so different. I mean, yeah there are a lot of parts which were EXACTLY like the film (i.e. mainly the beginning parts), but the ending was way different and some characters (namely Big Daddy) were just completely different people. I think I kind of like the film a bit more because its a bit more action-y than the comics.

I don’t remember Sunday. Monday Dillan dragged me to see Clash of the Titans which was actually a lot better than I was anticipating. I’m not normally one for Greek Mythology in films, but this was kind of ok. Kaya Scodelario was gorgeous as ever, and I’m proper amazed at how often she was in the film – I wasn’t expecting her to be in it that much at all.

What else? I did more film watching on Wednesday with Dillan (wow, I do a lot of film related things with him. Only just noticed), and I finally watched Public Enemies (I got the DVD for Christmas and only JUST watched it) which was, well, it was a good film and that, but its one of those films that you have to concentrate a lot on and I kept sitting there being like “that accent is weird” and making ridiculous mental comments like that. Because I mean honestly, those accents were strange.

What else? Whenever I’m not doing stuff with people I’ve been trying to do school work. Managed to do all of my Geography assignment in one day, that’s strange. Didn’t know I could work like that, pmsl. Though for English we have to do a creative writing piece, which is killing me. Its not just ‘write a story’, its ‘write a story and choose elements from two completely different txts and then link them and explain those links and do more bollocks like that’. Yeah, /rant.

Today was fun, though. Hung out with Melanie, Chris[tine] and Belle. We all went to the city and got lunch and had a little picnic which was cool. We then went to China Town and all the photobooths & stuff there. IDGAF I like photobooths. We also went to the markets a little, which was fun. We saw SO MANY people with dreadlocks today. Must have been like, 10, no joke. All the dreads came out to play. It was COOL. Also saw an ex-contestant from Australian Idol, which was… interesting.

Holidays are nearly over. We’ve got the weekend, and then one day and then school again. Honestly I’m more dreading seeing some people than I am school work & stuff. That I can kind of deal with. People I just can’t. Sometimes I really hate being in an all-girl school because a lot of the time, girls piss me off. People piss me off a lot, but thats not the point, pmsl.

Whatever. I’m going to remain cheerful. Life is active and I have a cool boyfriend and I’ve lost 3kg and have a BMI under 20 now and an AWESOME denim vest, so I’m going to be cheerful now.

Song: Something Good Can Work – Two Door Cinema Club

I am so unmotivated at the moment. I’m in those moods where you just can’t do anything other than make lists of what you should do.

The weekend… Easter, wasn’t it? Yeah. Saturday Dillan & I went to the Royal Sydney Easter Show – they hold it once a year and have stuff like shows, animals, rides, foods, stuff like that. It was pretty fun. We spent a lot of the day faffing about, typically it started pouring rain the second we arrived. But after that it was fine. Apparently my mate Lilli was in the parade dressed up as a banana, I would have killed to had seen that. Shame we missed it. We also went and saw the main show at the end, saw a bit of rodeo (random), stunt driving which would have been more awesome if it didn’t start raining so that A) we didn’t get dripping wet & freezing and B) the tracks didn’t get so muddy so they could do their tricks properly. The motorcross guys had the same issue, but they maned up and put on a BRILLIANT show. Sometimes I really forget how much I love Motorcross. After that they had some car-eating robot dinosaur thing which was kinda lame but the fire it expelled from its nostrils was nice and warm, lmfao.

Sunday was Easter Sunday – got a heap of chocolate I haven’t even started to eat yet, and… thats about it. We didn’t really do anything at all. On the Saturday before when I was out, my parents had some mates of theirs over for dinner, so I guess that was our contribution to Easter celebrations for this year.

Monday, Belle and Christine came around for a little movie marathon day. We watched Iron Man (neither of them had seen it, which is shameful) and then played Sims 3 for a bit, pissing ourselves laughing at every second thing our sims would do. Sims is genuinely a lot funnier when with other people. We also watched a bit of X-Men but then another lot of family friends came over so they had to leave. Lame. Wednesday I had a similar day over at Dillans, watched Shawn of the Dead (which proves to just get funnier and funnier every time you watch it) and Gamer, I think. I don’t care, I know its a lame movie, but I like Gerard Butler so.

Thursday (yesterday) was a very fun day. My friend Jess who I’ve known for years but lives 3 hours away came up, and we had a BLAST. We basically spent a lot of the day shopping (I got this lovely denim vest thing thats very 80′s punk, amongst other things) and walking around, reminding eachother of ridiculous things from when we were kids and pissing ourselves laughing over it. Its so lovely when she comes up, because I do miss her and she probably is my best mate, so. Later that day (after Jess had to go back), I went to the hairdressers. You can see for yourself what the hair is like (image to the left), except its actually not that purple/red, more brown in person, but y’know how cellphone cameras are like. I’m actually pretty happy with it at the moment, which is rare.

Gosh, heaps of things have been happening. I don’t even understand why. I am pretty boring, after all. I guess holidays are pretty good this time around. Even if I have an upper respiratory tract infection and cough like a mad man. And even if some people have really pissed me off. But, y’know, that’s females for you. Seriously, girls can be so bitchy. Whatever.

Oh yeah, new layout. I actually made & coded this on Easter Sunday, lmfao. I actually kind of like it. Woohoo Iron Man! But yeah, I’m going to leave you and continue listening to the new Two Door Cinema Club album which I’m LOVING because I LOVE them.
