Dig Up Her Bones – Misfits
Guess where I’m blogging from? Yeahhhh Spike! My laptop (Spike) had some problems, and I got fed up so we just re-installed Windows on ‘im & he’s all good now so woo!
So, the past week has been basically crap. Raining endlessly – and even if I love the rain, its incredibly annoying to have to go places in it, Dillan got sick so I could only see him on Tuesday (I usually see him about twice a week), and certain people at school are just unbearable right now. Girls are so bitchy and I know I always winge about being at an all-girl school, but its seriously the worst thing ever. I swear, I need a break from so much.
This weekend was cool, though. Saturday was spent sort-of in honour of Dillan’s birthday (its this Thursday, but I’m not going to be able to see him then, so we’re doing things now), so we saw The Losers (it only just came out over here). It was kind of weird because it was in the same theatre as Robin Hood last week, and around the same session time. Yeah, we’re becoming regulars now. But the film was good, a good laugh and a lot of guns & stuff – the things I love about film. It was kind of like Tropic Thunder in a lot of ways, but without the genius of Robert Downey Jnr. But we did get Chris Evans so that’s cool. He’s fit. After we kind of maintained our city-dwelling habits, went to the news agency we go to every week, went and got Mountain Dew from the same place (this week we got Code Red though, they were out of Voltage. I swear, Code Red is HORRIBLE stuff). We also went to a comic book store, though. I swear, it was SO HARD not to buy an Iron Man bobble head. But yeah, good day. I always have good days with Dillan.
Today, Sunday, Mum took me to factory outlets to buy some stuff for school – trousers, few jumpers and shoes (keeping in mind we have a uniform, but as long as its the right colours they don’t really mind what you do). It was alright, nightmare with parking though, my god. The rest of today was spent half-doing up Spike (15GB of music… fun!) & assorted things. And studying for art – test tomorrow. Great.
I have so many thoughts running through my head right now, its insane. I need to mind-map. I’ve been trying to make a layout for this place, but its just not happening like I’d want it to. I can’t make layouts any more. Well, not in the style I’d want to, anyway. I also need to re-layout a few fanlistings. So much to do, so little time (and motivation. I’ve seriously lost SO MUCH motivation for anything online recently – my fansites are proof. I’m going to put them up for adoption, though. Soon. Now to get motivated to do that… haha).
This week is a stupid blog. Oh well. I’m going to go make some tea and chill with the family, watching the Eurovision final. I accidentally found out Germany won, so I guess it won’t be as fun, but I always accidentally find out the winner. Stupid Australia, airing the final too late. Still, I wanted Turkey to win. Kind of cut they didn’t, but I don’t think my favourite has ever won. But its ok, Eurovision is always a laugh anyways.

Yesterday I finally saw a film in theatres, which is something I hadn’t done since Iron Man. Yes, its only been two weeks, but for the past 2 months I’ve been seeing HEAPS of films. Anyway, Dillan and I saw Robin Hood. It was actually a lot better than I anticipated. Yeah, Russle Crowe’s accent was all over the place, but the direction of the film was great. And the sets and stuff. AND MARK STRONG OMG I OFFICIALLY LOVE THAT MAN. He is SO GOOD. Other than that, though, there wasn’t much going for the film. At times you couldn’t figure out exactly what the film was about, what the main focus of the plot was on, which annoyed me. But its ok. I like it like I liked Avatar, it was a good film, just not my favourite.
The rest of Saturday was great, too. It did rain after we left the theatres (walking around the city in the rain is actually great, though, so I don’t mind), but Mountain Dew made up for that. It was also the night of Yasmin’s/Danielle’s/Elisha’s birthday celebrations. The three of them just bunched their birthdays together, and celebrated at Yas’. It was fun, we had bonfires & trampolines & cake & stuff. It did get cold, though. But it was great, I haven’t seen Stacey or Maddie at a party in ages and those two are great, so it was nice being with them. And Danielle. She’s so nice, it was great when she came to sit with us.
This week has been pretty… blank, I guess. Nothing much has happened. On Monday both art classes went on an excursion to the Art Gallery of NSW to visit the Archibald Prize & look around. We got there (my art teacher was late so she txted me. Yeah, we’re FULLY tight now), chilled in the Domain for a while, went in & looked at the permanent collection – they COMPLETELY surprised me, having a Bacon piece (he’s my absolute FAVOURITE painter, so I naturally had a little spaz and danced around for a while. Then stopped and stared. I must have spent 5 minutes infront of that piece. It was Study for Self-Portrait (1978) btw). We then went in to view the exhibit for the prize… it was all so boring. Seriously, Australian artists SUCK.
