Generator 2nd Floor – Freelance Whales

Firstly, this post will be long, so I apologise now.

Basically, my week was rather mundane. Friday night with the girls (Stella, Loretta & Yasmin) after a week full of friendship drama. We went to an Asian restaurant which made the best spring rolls you’ll ever eat, then went to a chocolate coffeeshop thing (Max Brenner, if that means anything to anyone), and then saw No Strings Attached, which I actually really enjoyed. Ashton Kutcher works for me now, he’s pretty ace.

But the best part of the week (and reason for late blog) was Soundwave…

I went with Maddie, Emma (+ her boyf & Ryan & occasionally their mates), Stacey, Rhi & Caitlin, but also saw my friend who lives two hours away, Jess, and some of her friends again (Ash, Tom, Dani). In total I saw 11 acts, Bayside, Sum 41, Bullet for my Valentine, Blessthefall, Dimmu Borgir, 30 Second to Mars, New Found Glory, Mad Caddies, The Maine, The Blackout & Mayday Parade (not including the ends of some acts, beginnings of others, etc). Of course my favourite was Bayside (WHO I MET, so excuse my dickhead face because that band means the world to me) (I also found the guy I was next to in the mosh on Tumblr… the world these days), but Blessthefall were quite great too. And The Blackout were pretty amazing live too. But it was an INCREDIBLE day, I hurt everywhere because of the moshes, and I lost my watch that I’ve had for 7 years at Mayday Parade, but its worth it.

So my weekend was basically incredible. I am happy as HELL right now.

    Location – Freelance Whales

    1. Computer Arts subscription restarted!
    2. Coffee; my only love
    3. Ram ring that I bought last week

This week has been pretty un-documented, so we get a webcam summary. Despite that, its actually been the busiest, most full-on week.

I don’t know where to begin. Valentines Day sucked, as you could expect. But Melanie bought me a candy thing & wrote a rather dirty poem, which I enjoyed, and Victoria made everyone cupcakes which was lovely. Spent the afternoon with a bunch of friends including an old friend, Adrian. Funny story with that kid, he seemed to think that for whatever reason, hanging out once after school meant we were together. He asked me at one point when we were “official”. Seeing as I had only been single for 9 days, I went off at him for it. I am not in the position for a relationship – I don’t even have any feelings what so ever for this kid – and yet… Actually it was very awkward. He got me invited to Callum’s 18th yesterday. I knew Callum & hung out with him once, but I went, and so it was a little awkward. Adrian probably expected something from that night, but instead Stella & I (I brought her along) hung out with these two other guys, Jack and Dan. So I’m not talking to Adrian anymore. Good riddance.

Other than that, the week was full of school & work for Dad. Oh and my Grandfather’s 80th today. Oh and making tumblr’s in Marcel Castenmiller’s honour. And A LOT of coffee. And falling even more in love with Matty (ala Skins). And watching re-runs of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch at midnight.

    I regret nothing.

Baptism (DSS Megatron Bootleg Remix) – Crystal Castles

Quite disappointed that my coffee has gone cold, but alas.

This week has been very busy. I actually really enjoyed it. Of course, first part of the week was a little shit with Dillan. Just to explain, he’d come home from Brazil & admitted to cheating on me. He was given the chance to try make it up to me, but he simply didn’t. I ended it with him after that. Honestly, I’m handling things alright. I think because he’d been away for the past month, I’d been able to adjust to him not being around, so I don’t miss him. A lot of people don’t expect me to be, but I’m fine. Optimistic.

That said, Thursday was brilliant. Last school swimming carnival ever. You may remember me mentioning last years, but basically its a day where the school does swimming races. But as a Year 12/Senior, it was a day of dressing up ridiculously, and pushing teachers into pools. Very fun. I’m going to love being a Senior.

The rest of the week was just fine, soldiering on. Friday night, went over to Stacey’s & watched The Children, which is basically a ridiculous B-Grade British horror film. Not the best film, haha. Saturday I went into the city with Melanie – she needed me to model for her Art Major Work, and I also bought a bunch of things (including a wishbone necklace, ram-head ring & those shoes, how beautiful are they seriously). Then today I went out for coffee with Maddie in which I had amazing french toast with banana & bacon, and bought a whole lot of magazines and her Valentines gift for her boyf Jake which will be amazing.

So yeah, good times. I’m really ready to start making changes in life, so we shall see how we go.
