Election Day – Polar Bear Club

My life is so dry right now. Its not so much governed by school – although 75% of our major work was due on Friday, so all week was just trying to pump out all this art – but school’s definitely playing a major role. I got really run down in the middle of the week and couldn’t go to school on Wednesday (first day off all year); all just testament to change in weather and stress of life.

Thursday was the final athletics carnival. A day of track and field activities basically turned into a day of loitering, and spelling out letters on a hill which is somewhat a senior tradition at school. Wasn’t too shabby of a day, nice way to end the string of athletics carnivals of my high school career. I actually think this is the last major school event that I’ll experience as a senior, bit weird.

    Besides all that, the whole week has been rather boring. Simply because I haven’t seen anything like this circulating the blogosphere for a while, Lilly tagged me in this, so I may as well list 10 facts about me;

    1. I collect magazines, not for their content, but for the design of the magazine itself.
    2. My Big Fat Greek Wedding has installed a subconscious attraction to Windex and I hate using any other window cleaning product. I also really like blue sodas, which I feel is related to this.
    3. I generally get along best with people who aren’t my age; often older, but my younger brother’s friends are also really easy to get on with.
    4. My true love in life is visual design, for all the unexpected reasons; the restrictions, the challenge, the manipulation, the intense skill.
    5. I am so much more interested in mensware fashion than I am in female.
    6. The past four months of my life have been like something out of Skins; a complete soap opera of a life.
    7. I tend to always find a celebrity/public figure that vaguely looks like someone I know, and then relate those two people together forever.
    8. I really like Geography as a subject.
    9. A lot of my closest friends are Asian.
    10. Bayside have been my favourite band for about 4 years now.

    Broken Horse – Freelance Whales

My sleeping pattern is actually demented right now. This past week has simply been me relying on coffee to get through each day. Being a senior isn’t working out for me right now.

Besides the never ending tiredness, this week was alright. Taken to walking home a lot now for exercise sake, and school’s been ok. The drama is still around, but I’m disconnecting myself from it all now so its loosing its effect. Been doing a lot of work for Art and Software lately too – making a video game in Software again which is really fun!

The weekend’s been alright too. Hung out with Luke and Dennis on Friday… Sophia and Tiffany Saturday night… went into the city with Samantha on Saturday too. I had to get her to take photos of me for my Art Major Work, so I walked around the city like that for a couple of hours, lots of staring. I don’t know how fashion bloggers do it. There are literally 200 out-takes, but I won’t bore you with ‘em all. It was actually really fun too, so I might do this with Sam more often.

I am actually so out of it right now, so I’m sorry that this blog is so crappy. But guiiizzeeee, we survived the rapture!

If You Wanna – The Vaccines

    1. My room !
    2. Me as a woman, Maddie as a man, and Stacey as… herself
    3. Underoath playin’

This week has been so full on. A lot of it has been school based; drama got worse and will probably stay bad for a while, but it isn’t fair to explain it here. Also had a pretty big English assessment on Friday, so the whole week was dedicated to studying Hamlet, which isn’t a lot of fun. But y’know. Along with all of that there has been all the renovations; my wardrobe FINALLY got doors on it! You can kind of see them above, with all the work done I also re-decorated my room a little bit; a lot more minimalistic. The kitchen is done too, might photograph that soon.

Friday was ace as hell. A Day To Remember and Underoath at Luna Park ! Went in with Maddie, Stacey, Luke and Lachlan, my brother was there too. Got there a bit early so I could conquer my fear of the ferris wheel (I OWN that thing now), and got to see my other mates Michael and Dan too. Got in, watched Underoath from a far because none of my friends liked them, but they put on a pretty decent show. ADTR were better than expected, played some good songs (Mr. Highway’s Thinking About The End was ACE), and their mosh was pretty fun – not as hardcore as I expected so when I got lost on my own it was easy enough to deal with. But yeah, it was such a good night.

Weekend was tame enough. I saw Thor today with Naomi; it wasn’t extraordinary (although the effects were SO well done – for the most part) but as an Avengers fangirl, it was really awesome. Also got a couple of magazines and such, short yet sweet time with her.

Life is so busy lately. I’m going to be dead at the end of the year at this rate.
