To Build a Home – The Cinematic Orchestra

Formal. Suppose its like the Australian equivalent to Prom, but less intense. Ours was on Tuesday and it had to naturally rain. The dress is from Aqua, if anyone’s interested. But no, it was a lovely night, being the last time I’d see a lot of people from high school. I don’t know, there’s not much to say about Formal, cos we didn’t have any Prom Kings/Queens or anything, it was more like a sit down dinner where everyone could run around meeting people’s dates and gushing over how lovely people looked. But it was still nice, bonding with people over R Kelly is always great. The after party was a lot of fun, as well, even if we were all exhausted and it continued to rain.

And now, off to the coast for a week! I went to my friends formal the night after this so you guys can hear all about that when I’m back!

    Peter Pan – Jinja Safari

This was last Friday, the girls in the last photo and I went to see Jinja Safari play, a kind of end-of-exams celebration. It was great because before we went to the concert we went to eat sushi and a few members of the band were at the same restaurant. Just a bit of fun, more or less.

Fantastic show, though. Probably one of my favourite Australian acts out, too. They played a lot from their EP which I really appreciated seeing as its the only stuff of theirs I have, and a lot of different stuff too. Even cracked out the acrobatics and the lead guy climbed around the stage with his vuvuzella (fucking vuvuzellas). The supports were iffy but y’know. It was just a brilliant night.

Dosed – Red Hot Chili Pepers

I’ve finished!! Exams, done. Highschool, done. It’s all done! Thanks to everyone who wished me luck and everything, last exam yesterday afternoon, was good. Man, it feels good. Don’t listen to anyone who plays graduation down, they just liked high school. I’m not too sure when I get results back but who cares, never have to go to high school again!

The photos above are from the weekend, too. In the first photo, the girl to the utmost right is leaving next month to move to England, so it was a bit of a farewell celebration. It was a fairly good night, break from all the exams things. Ended up seeing some people I hadn’t for a while too, which was nice.

Basically though, I am just so relieved to be done with the HSC. Things are going to be fairly busy from this point but its good busy, we have Formal (a bit like prom – and I’m going to two), a group of my friends and I are going up the coast for a week, heaps of stuff is happening. So content.

Also, there’s been a lot of this tagging thing going on, so I took a leaf out of Jayy’s book and made a page for it. You can check it out here if you feel so inclined to.
