Crew Love – Drake ft. The Weeknd

Ola amigos! I am back from my trip up the coast! I don’t have too many photos from the trip (because I was more concerned with enjoying myself than taking photos), but that’s the beach we were at. It took a 20 minute walk to the beach from our house, and we made that trip around 4 times a day, sooooo it was mental. But it was a decent trip, got to enjoy a lot of time with close friends, and new friends, meeting a few decent people and a few not too decent people. There were a lot of school leavers around the coast too (for Australians – it was kind of Schoolies but not Byron or anything officially Schoolies) so there were beach parties every odd night. It was pretty decent, in a house of 9 girls, being completely independent.

Guess that worked in my favour too, seeing as on Saturday I turned 18 – which is the legal adult age here. It was really cute, we went out to Thai to celebrate the night before and everything. Got a countdown at 12am at a kebab store too.

But yeah, it’s been a full on week, so who knows what I’ll actually do now that everything high school ever is done. We shall just see, hey.

Heavy Water – Foals

This place really needs a new layout. The current one doesn’t seem to really like the photo posts that I’ve taken to doing. Oh well.

On Friday it was my 17th birthday. Its actually been one of the best birthdays I can remember; at school I was greeted with cards (including a very witty version of Seventeen magazine – I was on the cover cos I was, y’know, 17), flowers (white roses from Naoms), Hunger Games from Christine and a watermelon (for the past year Stacey has been walking past this watermelon stand & I asked for one for my next birthday, and she delivered. So much fun, cutting it open & eating it at school – naturally ended up in mess !). Noams & I also had a free period that day, so we ran around the school taking photos – girly, but fun. That night I went out to dinner with Maddie, Stacey, Stella and Yasmin which was lovely – we got all dressed fancy in heels & such and it was a lovely time.

Saturday I went out with Dillan & spent the whole day with him. We needed to get him some things, but after that we just did whatever. He bought me a Living Dead Doll (I have an affinity towards collectable dolls, which naturally means I’ll be mental when I’m old) which is creepy and yet amazing, she also came with a dagger necklace which I’m going to enjoy wearing. I also got myself a bunch of magazines as my own gift – cos you know how I am.

But yeah, its actually been a really good birthday. Quiet, subtle, but I guess that’s how I like things. No mess to clean, y’know? Now all I have to look forward to is a 4 more assessments and then summer!

Silvia 2 Ibiza (Myndset Mashup) – SHM vs. Miike Snow

Over this past week I’ve tried so hard not to stress but it seems impossible. Today has been entirely devoted to doing Visual Arts coursework and seriously, its such a bitch. I’m one of the lucky ones who managed to do some progressively, so I feel so so so sorry for those who left it all to this weekend.

On Thursday my geography class went on a school trip the the Blue Mountains. It was beyond fun; our tour guide Darren was ever so charming, our class works so well, we got to do a lot of really awesome things (ride the steepest vertical rail way in the world – which I will admit freaked me to hell) and eat some pretty nice food and it was just a really good day.

Other weekly highlights include seeing Due Date (there isn’t a world in which Robert Downey Jnr is unattractive), Loretta’s birthday on Monday, Jeremy’s (my brother) birthday on Thursday andddd… yeah really, that’s it.

Also, any Australians tried the new V Iced Coffee? I don’t know if I like it or not… seems not strong enough.

But anyway, this coming week will be hell. Study study study and my birthday… 17, the year of telling the truth (according to Maxxie (Skins)). Yeah dreading my birthday already. FUN ! haha
