Song: This Song – The Enemy
What would you know it, yesterday I turned 16. Woo.
Na, its cool though. School or whatever wasn’t really different (people don’t bother now with facebook – a wall post seems sufficient these days. Not that I’m complaining), except Christine made me a Ron Weasley cardboard cutout (of this image) and Stacey made me an amazing chocolate cake. From my parents, I got $300 (!!!) and will be getting the Harry Potter Ultimate Collectors Edition DVD’s when they arrive. I also got a BOSS card from Jess. Wheee!
But I suppose my birthday wasn’t as big of a deal as Formal next week. Formal is like prom, only our year 10 formal is less dressy and more like a cocktail party without drinks) I probably mentioned on here before that I really really didn’t want to go… but I’m going now. To the right is my dress (which hasn’t arrived yet (though according to tracking its in Australia) and is set to arrive the day before formal)(click for a bigger image) which is lovely and I’m really excited about. Except I still need shoes/bag like thing. I’m not over excited about this, to be honest, I just want a chance to dress all nice and pretty like. I don’t have a date, so its not exciting. Whatever.
Lord, I need to clean up my pinboard. Its a mess.
Anything else happen this week? No, not really. We had our video showcase on Monday. Basically a whole load of our documentary work in PDM (Photographic and Digital Media) was “premiered” (for lack of better word). It was an alright night, my documentary won some class award. What properly annoyed me about the night, though, is that a few girls invited some of their guy friends. I mean, I don’t care that they came, but A) they didn’t introduce them to ANYONE who didn’t know who they were, and B) they talked on and on and on about them afterwards. Yep, guys came. Yep, you know males. Can you stop now? I mean, these are the girls who complain when people in our group talk about things no one else can relate to, and yet there they are talking about stuff no one else can relate too aswell. Sometimes I really really really hate going to an all girls school.
Now I will stop complaining about people and move onto fun topics. Like Lolcats! Or Leona Lewis’ bad cover of Oasis’ Stop Crying Your Heart Out (I just think no one but Liam/Noel can do Oasis – its not like they actually sing anyway).
Y’know what? I’ll stop now. Pizza arrived anyway.
