Song: All In My Head – Good Shoes
Tra la la la la its Friday time! Which means I’ve watched Skins (Katies ep – which was amazing. Not as good as Cooks, though) and done my things & ready to blog about!
Well, this week, eh? The weekend & Monday was spent getting rid of the swelling on my face. Mum actually took me to the hospital, she was so worried about it. 3 hours in the waiting room & 5 with a doctor. Lovely how our health system works. But yeah, other than that I was fine. The swelling was gone by Monday, and most of the sun-damaged skin has peeled off/faded, which is important. Still, I’ve had to wear my fringe again (I cannot explain in human words how much I hate wearing it out. Its so damn annoying.) & heaps of sunscreen to prevent any more damage. I’m really not built to live in Australia, not with this climate & my lack of heat tolerance.
Other than that, my week has been extremely boring. Just school & homework & faffing about online – sites like Texts from Last Night & Not Always Right don’t really keep me busy, but when its no use starting up anything in PS, they serve as good time fillers. Actually, I don’t always like those kinds of sites, like FML & MLIA. ESPECIALLY not MLIA – it was alright when I first found it & that, but then it got popular. The popularity isn’t my problem, its the fact that all the stories are now all the same, and, more often than not, fake.
Ergh, I shouldn’t rant so much here, but really its a lot of what I think of. I’m really annoyed at my group at the moment; though I do say that a lot. What this time, then? Well, for the past week they’ve been organising to go to this U18’s club tonight, but naturally haven’t told us about it. I mean, I winged a little to Harriet when she accidental called me (thinking I was another Cassie), but she’s all “oh no, you’re invited, you’re part of this group, we want you there!” Yeah, likely, seeing as we were asked if we wanted to go, and we were told their plans for organising it. They probably expected us (Christine, Melanie & I) to say we didn’t want to go, but just presuming? Its rude. They’re ignorant.
Lets talk about something different. Oh yeah, remember when I mentioned a few blogs ago about a class studying Twilight? We’re going to have to, too. In English, we’re studying gothic literature, and we’ll be juxtaposing two texts. One of which is Henry James’ The Turn of the Screw, and, well, the second is the Twilight film. I’m kind of annoyed that Twilight is coming into our education system (where as Harry Potter is yet to be seen), but it could be worse. Our teacher hates the Twilight film/book/franchise, so its not like it’ll be glorified, and the film does have Jackson Rathbone in it (who I’ve fancied ever since his appearance in Criminal Minds), but still. The world is ending, I’m telling you.
Well, another issue of Computer Arts has arrived, so I’m going to return comments and read that. Fun!
