Hollaback Girl (Cover) – Foals
Again, late blog. Its cos Dillan came home late & I went to see him during the time when I usually blog. Update: We’ve broken up now. Its a shit situation. But I got to punch him.
The past week has been really bloody hot. First weeks of school always are. Today was lovely and like, 21*C, so. But yeah, that first week killed me. Luckily we managed to find a way to sneak into the single air conditioned room in our school. Sweeeet. Getting back into the routine is a bit weird, especially with a new timetable, but I’m getting back into it. School isn’t quite killing me yet. School photos tomorrow, however, will.
Also, as you can see, saw Black Swan over the weekend. I wrote a horrible review last night, here, so I guess yeah. I don’t know about that film.
Yeah, that’s really it. Busy week ahead & yeah. I don’t know, I’m so horrible with writing down anything lately. I apologise.

Moving along from my health issues, I got this bad boy on Tuesday. It actually came out this Wednesday, but I got it early because I pre-ordered it. Mum also pre-ordered me the Ultimate Collectors Editions for films 1 & 2, which comes out (in Australia) on Dec. 2, a day before my birthday, so its all perfect. Australia has actually had it pretty good, we get the HBP DVD like, 20 days earlier than the US, and the collectors editions a week and a bit, I think. Moving on, the DVD is so good. I forgot how much I loved this film. GOD Rupert, Tom & Frank Dillane (teen Voldemort) kill me. Oh and Hero Tiffin-Fiennes (young Voldey), but not in a ‘oh you so sexy’ way (that’s gross, the kid’s 12!), but in a ‘oh my you so awesome I want to be your friend’ kind of way. I’ve actually said on several accounts that I’d like to be friends with him. I get along well with kids that age (my brother is, see, so its not like I go about making friends with 12 year olds, pmsl). But whatever, thats just one part of the DVD. The features this time are amazing. I still think the features on HP4 were great (had a lot of a more BTS part), but these are really great because they feature a lot of the younger/teen cast doing things, which is quite fun. I love Matt Lewis (Neville), especially the bit he hosted with Alfie Enoch (Dean Thomas). If you get your hands on it (not until the 8th of Dec in the US/UK, I believe), make sure you watch them!
By now you’ve probably heard of the Sydney Dust Storms from yesterday. And you’ll hear about it from me too, seeing as I lived through it. The only way to describe it is like looking through orange tinted glass. *points to photo* Like that. It was a bloody nuisance, I’ll say that, because its muddled with my allergies and I had to leave school early today because I couldn’t manage. But it was amusing when I walked to school and had Maddie run up to me screaming “Its the end of the world!” (I then concluded I wouldn’t really mind if it were the end, but it wasn’t, which I don’t mind either).
What else? I finished reading The War Of the Worlds on… last Wednesday, and then I started and finished reading Let The Right One In on… I either started on Saturday or Sunday and I finished reading on Tuesday, and I then watched the film. I have… I don’t know what to think of the film, because they missed out on SO MUCH (like, 2 sub-plots (off the top of my head)), but they still managed to make it work. I don’t know. The boy, Oskar, I was laughing at his dopey hair cut for a while, until I realised I had the same one, pmsl. But yeah, the book/film were both pretty good, and I suggest you read them. Well, if you’re older, I guess. My 12-year-old brother wants to read it, but I won’t let him, not with some of the stuff that happens in there. So yeah, 12-year-olds, don’t read! pmsl
